60 Minute Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage is offered for expectant mother in their second and third trimesters. If you are experiencing a high risk pregnancy, please obtain a signed release form from your obstetrician indicating that you are able to receive massage therapy. During the massage, the expectant mother is carefully supported by cushions and pillows in order to provide superior comfort and protect her and the baby from strain or injury. This also helps alleviate extra strain on the lower back and pelvic areas.

Prenatal massage techniques are very gentle and relaxing. No deep tissue techniques are used for safety precaution. Some areas of the body are avoided to protect mother and child, while extra attention is given to areas of the body that are particularly affected by pregnancy, like the feet and back. In addition to stress and tension reduction, massage can help with swollen ankles lower back pain, leg cramps and headaches.

Deep tissue massage targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the body’s surface. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain.
When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Adhesions can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement, and inflammation. Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions to relieve pain and restore normal movement.

Massage therapists will use their fingers, thumbs or occasionally even elbows to apply the needed pressure. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic massage but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain.

Unlike classic Swedish massage therapy, which is used for relaxation, deep tissue massage usually focuses on a specific problem, such as: chronic pain, limited mobility, recovery from injuries (e.g. whiplash, falls, sports injury), repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis pain, fibromyalgia, and muscle spasms.

One Hour Essential Oils Raindrop Therapy

A combination of reflexology, aromatherapy and massage with essential oils applied to the feet and spine. Designed to bring balance and alignment to the body in a noninvasive manner with its relaxing and mild application. Raindrop stimulates the body on a physical and emotional level.

Therapeutic aromatherapy is a form of vibrational medicine that recognizes that every tissue and organ, as well as the body as a whole, has its own electromagnetic energy field. Most physical conditions and diseases begin to manifest in our energy fields before they occur in our physical bodies. Therapeutic grade essential oils have specific electromagnetic frequencies and tend to migrate to the tissues or organs that resonate with their own frequencies. Some oils move toward muscles, joints, and bones, while others are drawn to the digestive tract, the lymphatic system, the reproductive organs, or to the heart and circulatory system. Oils may be attracted to the liver, the kidneys, the pancreas, the thyroid gland, or the nervous system or brain. This therapeutic method may not only lead to the disappearance of an existing physical problem in the body, but can even prevent a condition that has manifested in the energy field from ever manifesting physically.

The use of undiluted essential oils in Raindrop Technique is consistent with the French model for aromatherapy, which is the most extensively practiced and studied model in the world. Having used essential oils clinically since the 1920’s, the French have consistently recommended neat (undiluted) use of essential oils.

A Raindrop session takes about an hour and may continue to work in the body for up to a week following a session, with possible realignment and bodily adjustment taking place during this time.

Used in localized areas for treatment of pain or discomfort. Cupping is an alternative therapy that involves suctioning the skin with glass, plastic, or silicone cups. It may help improve blood flow, boost immune function, remove toxins, and reduce pain. Many believe that cupping helps balance yin and yang, or the negative and positive, within the body. Restoring balance between these two extremes is thought to help with the body’s resistance to pathogens as well as its ability to increase blood flow and reduce pain.

Cupping increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This may relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

Cupping marks - a circular skin discoloration, similar to a “hickey”, can develop and be visible on the skin for up to about a week, depending on how long they are stationed on an area. These bruises are NOT tender to the touch as a normal bruise would be. I normally use the cups in a dynamic fashion which does not leave deep discoloration, but in some cases longer durations may be needed depending on the severity of the discomfort or pain.

This isn't just any massage; it's a comprehensive approach focusing on your entire well-being.

Need “a safe place to fall?” Dawn Gabauer is a student at Soul Shepherding Institute and will graduate as a certified spiritual director in February 2026. The ministry of spiritual direction is an ancient Christian practice of holy listening. Spiritual direction is a conversational and prayerful relationship of seeking God together through the journey of life, focusing on the client’s personal experiences of God. The spiritual journey is often a lonely path, especially during difficult or challenging times. A sacred companion, I.e. a spiritual director, can guide and reflect back to us God’s presence in our life and the world—awakening new possibilities, connections, and deeper relationships. The true director of the spiritual direction process is not the person hosting the conversation, it’s the Holy Spirit. The director simply serves as an ambassador to the Spirit of Christ by ministering God’s continual friendship. Through holy listening the director can reflect Jesus’ love and empathy to help others experience God and follow the Spirit’s leading, while providing guidance for their relationship with God. Welcome to Relax N Restore Massage & Wellness LLC! After serving in ministry for over a decade while still practicing massage with family and friends, I have felt the nudge and desire to return to my 20 yr old root ministry of massage therapy on a full time basis. I believe that I am to use massage therapy in conjunction with what I have learned in ministry to give my clients a truly holistic approach to their care. It is my sincere honor and privilege to help calm troubled minds, release pain, tension and stress from the body, and help usher in a sense of wellbeing by listening well with empathy and compassion.

I felt so relaxed after my 2 hour session. I felt that my session far exceeded my expectations. The only thing I would love is an essential oil smell either added to my lotion or choice of scent for the room to get me even more relaxed. I enjoyed the hot stone therapy. Would recommend and am already excited for another appointment.
